Easy and affordable

I couldn't believe how easy it was to book. The pickup and drop-off were easy, too.

Accessible devices at a very reasonable and affordable price!

I had a good experience with wheel walkers, having rented a Medline wheelchair for a week post my ACL/MCL surgery. Pick up could have been a little more seamless if a name tag were attached (there were about 4 chairs lined up) and a little unclear which one was meant for me. Additionally the seat was pretty barebones, there was no seat for comfort or a seatbelt to hold me in. It definitely could use some servicing as any large cracks in sidewalks and uneven sidewalk cutouts made it a tipping risk, and the foot rests were constantly raising from bumps in the roadway. The cost was very fair and options for pick up and return were available making this a very good option, though again the wheelchairs could use some regular servicing to make sure they are safe.

Looked brand new

The wheelchair arrived fine. The Uber delivery guys did not deliver it in the apartment, which for someone with a broken leg, makes it way harder to retrieve. Fortunately my wife was home so she was able to get it. The wheelchair looked brand new, no smell, nothing. That helped me a lot because my wife was going for a business trip, and so it enabled me to do things I simply couldn't with only the crutches. Everything worked out, but Uber delivery is not very helpful in these instances, either to deliver at my place or back to the return place. But that's not a problem specifically with the Wheelchair or the company itself, hence the 5 star review.

Available chairs all in poor condition

Honest review: Rented a basic manual chair with footrest. Arrived to collect and chair armrests were cracked and peeling, footrests missing and chair not in good state so left it as not fit for use and advised owner, needed footrests at a minimum. Was told could maybe drop me a replacement down ‘in a few days’ but if you need a wheelchair, you need a wheelchair. Had a hospital appointment few days later and was coming back that way. Asked if could leave a replacement in good condition with footrests out to collect. Said no problem. Arrived to collect and the replacement chair had no arm rest at all on one arm so another wasted trip at a difficult time. I requested a refund, which was issued. Called Starkmans at Bathurst and Davenport and they had a chair available, said they’d clean it up and have it ready right away, arrived, was set up, in great condition and was $66 for the whole month whereas wheelwalkers was $30 something for one week. I also rented a knee walker from wheelwalkers, it was dirty and the padding on the seat was worn down so also not great but I made do as I didn’t have the energy to complain further. Likely would not rent here again if ever needed. Lack of keeping the devices well maintained and just hoping someone can’t be bothered or isn’t well enough to complain it seems. When you call excuses made about the ‘supplier’. It’s your business, you’re responsible to make sure items you are renting to customers are in good condition or how can you ask for a 5* review in good faith. I hope they are able to consider this feedback and turn things around.
